Cafe Marbella is the best find in Chicago. It is in an out of the way location but well worth the travel to get there. Chef goes out of his way to make every meal a treat. He has incredible specials and always something new on the menu. Add in the fact that this place is BYO and you will wonder why you go anywhere else to eat. Try it. You will be glad you did!

Eat in foreign restaurants, not to mention the dishes, the service you enjoy is absolutely first class

This out-of-the-way tapas restaurant has everything going for it: outstanding food at reasonable prices, great variety of dishes, friendly and attentive staff, byo keeps overall bill low, relaxed, non-rushed, setting, easy on-street parking. We usually come as a group that varies from three to twenty and celebrate birthdays, anniversaries or just a chance to get together. Last night was a birthday group of nine and we just keep ordering dishes. Some of our favorites were the avocado salad (aguacate), stuffed figs, octopus (pulpo on the specials list) and the goat cheese in tomato-based sauce (queso de cabra). Two hours into dinner we switched to mixed berry torte and flan with coffee. Outstanding!! Thank you Maria.

The four of us ordered 4 tapas frias and 4 tapas calientes. My favorite were the stuffed peppers (cold) and pork medallions (hot). A few tapas were very salty and Torlilla Espaniola without much character. My companions were much more enthusiastic and planned to come back.
